Copying plans to see the effect of changes to transactions or new transactions is a very powerful way of quickly finding out how variables can impact upon your business. Creating and comparing plans under different scenarios is easy. This can be used to compare budget to actual data as well.
Individual transaction manual editing options are as follows.
Copying Plans at the Plans page
Using Exported Data from an Existing Plan
1. Refer this article for using exported data as a basis to build scenarios on.
2. Once you’ve exported the required data using the “Plan Details & Transactions” option at the Export page, save the resultant csv file, edit it as necessary, and then import it into a new blank plan. You now have your new scenario. This is the most efficient way to edit plans.
To compare budgeted to actual cash flow, update a plan with actuals – for example at the end of each month – and append to a plan that keeps actuals per this article. For easy comparison overlay the graphs of budget and actual cash flow per Graph View.
